Product Description
The NipSafe set is a super-useful aid designed to make the fitting of clips safer, cleaner, and more reliable for both the lamb and the handler. Cleverly designed to protect the “Nipples and Piddles” — the teats and urethra — these guards also help gather and contain the testicles neatly in place, preventing loose skin or wool from getting trapped or interfering with the locking pins during application. This makes the entire process smoother and helps reduce the risk of incorrect fitting, which is especially important when working quickly during busy lambing periods.
Care still needs to be taken around the lower end during fitting, as precision matters when carrying out any procedure on young lambs. Fitting clips properly is a responsible job, and while it takes a little care and attention, using the right tools and techniques helps achieve the best possible welfare outcomes for your animals. The NipSafe guards are designed to give shepherds extra confidence and control while working, helping avoid preventable mistakes and improving efficiency at the same time.
Practical, durable, and easy to use, NipSafe guards are a valuable addition to any lambing kit and are ideal for farmers who want to work carefully and responsibly without unnecessary hassle. They can also be useful when fitting traditional rubber rings — if you still insist on doing things the old-fashioned way!
